Thilakanathan Studios is an independent 3D animation studio. No big teams, no render farms the size of a warehouse — just a deep love for animated film and the stubborn belief that one person with today's tools can make something worth watching.

Every film here starts the same way: an idea that won't go away, a rough sketch, a blocked-out scene. Then months of modeling, shading, animating, lighting, and rendering — frame by frame — until the story on screen matches the one in my head.

Why I share the process

When I started, the hardest part wasn't the software. It was the silence — nobody showing how an actual short film comes together from start to finish. So alongside every film, I publish what I learn: breakdowns, tutorials, honest production notes, and the mistakes that cost me weeks so they don't cost you any.
